From Title Town to the University of National Champions….

After an ACL tear sidelined me from competition my junior year of high school, I took my first job as an office administrator at Doughboy Wrestling Club, managing communications alongside administrative tasks. Gaining confidence in professional environments, I quickly delved into the nonprofit sector through various internships, focusing on communications roles.

Driven by the belief that media representation is paramount for the economic growth of women’s sports, I deliberately sought positions that empowered underrepresented voices. I worked as a communications intern at the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, a project manager for Division 1 Women’s Wrestling, and as a coach and organizational volunteer for the Massachusetts national team. My journey has not just been about personal growth but also about advocating for inclusivity and equity in the sports arena. These aspirations led me to the University of North Carolina where I became the first female wrestler to be rostered in the Atlantic Coast Conference while being an honors student enrolled at the Hussman School of Media & Journalism.
